I am a fair weather sportsman. I like to think I’m an all-weather photographer. But the 12/12/2009 soccer tournament was almost too much. The temperature was hoovering around 31º, the rain was still rain but just barely, and the clouds were coming very close to ground level. The Canada geese were enjoying it. And so were these young athletes. Well, perhaps not enjoying it so much as ignoring it. At any rate, the ISO was bumped to 1600 and f-stop opened to f2.8 by the end of the second game just to get images and the cold proved too much for me. I did get two full games covered before the weather won. Here’s a couple of close crops from the day.
