The pain in the neck is back – literally. The radiation therapy is taking its toll with some serious difficulty swallowing. Fortunately I have been well supplied with pain killers but these too have side effects. Pain is not one of them. Today was a near total loss as far as productivity of any kind. Food intake was minimal because of difficulty swallowing, and even reading required too much concentration. There was a fair amount of prayer accomplished. It is amazing how easy it is to allow the world to fade out of site (or at least out of focus) when you pray. The communion can be sweet and, one would trust, very effective. This night that would be my prayer, that my prayer was effective, fervent, fervent, effectual. God is good and allows this place to escape, with Him. Thank you.
